Scout QCS - FAQ:

online survey report

Do you offer a free trial period?

Yes. Once you've signed-up for an account, use the contact form to request a 30-day free trial. Be sure to include your company information and Scout username in your message.

Can I subscribe to the service and pay by check?

Yes, we offer an annual invoicing option, please contact us with your particular needs and we'll be happy to setup an account for you.

Are my surveys public?

While your surveys are live online, you control who is made aware of their existence via the invitations you send out for their completion - in other words, only your customers and prospects will know how to find them on the Internet. Otherwise, we discourage search engines from indexing all surveys.

Why can't I edit or replace the questions in my survey after submissions have been posted?

The ability to replace survey questions is blocked once a survey has received submissions. The aim of this feature is the preservation of each survey's report integrity; otherwise, the potential exists for old responses to new questions appearing; thus compromising the accuracy of survey reports. However, if the need arises to replace questions on a survey that has already received submissions (therefore replacing questions is no longer an option) you can manually delete all submissions from the survey's view post page, after which replacing questions will once again be available as an option for the survey.

When editing my survey questions, I inadvertently left question number 2 blank, is that going to cause a problem?

When creating or replacing survey questions, blank questions left intermittently on the form will not adversely affect the final survey performance or real-time report results; blank questions are simply skipped over when the survey is viewed on the Internet.

Do any shortcuts exist in editing the questions for surveys?

Yes, when editing surveys, any type of question can be quickly removed by simply deleting the question text itself. For multiple choice questions, individual subtexts can be line-item deleted with the updated question devoid of any gaps in final form.

Is anything done to prevent multiple posts by the same entity?

Yes, we disallow repeated posts to the same survey from identical IP addresses.

How are Scout Internet surveys designed to be implemented?

Basic quality control email requests can help a company create a picture of its customer service performance; however, the information returned is less than consistent as the prospect is left to ultimately decide what information is supplied. With online surveys which facilitate direct questioning via the Internet, clearer pictures can be drawn and maintained as specific data can be collected and returned in report form. The following example exemplifies the targeting of dead leads via a CRM (customer relationship management) survey invitation:

Dear Prospect,

Acme Industries recently received an Internet request from you for a price quote on one of our products.

In an effort to increase our level of customer service, we would appreciate your taking a few seconds to complete our very brief online customer satisfaction questionnaire.

(The form is anonymous, no personal information is required.)
